Mt Charleston

This retreat right outside of Las Vegas is worth the drive. If you want to escape the high heat of the Las Vegas summer this might be exactly what you’re looking for. In the winter Mount Charleston is a beautiful Ski Resort. During the other seasons Mount Charleston is a retreat from the city. It’s completely free to drive up into this mountain range. Most hiking areas are also free for the adventurous hiker, but if you want to picnic and BBQ up here there is a slight fee. Only about 41 miles from the Hitchin’ Post RV Park.
